ابنة النيل. قائدة تُصغي.Atong Amos Agook Juac was born in Upper Nile State and shaped by the river that gives the state its name. Her journey is the journey of so many in our region — displacement, return, the patient work of rebuilding a family, a neighbourhood, a community after war.
وُلدت أتونق أموس أقوك جواك في ولاية أعالي النيل، وتشكّلت حياتها على ضفاف النهر. مسيرتها مسيرة الكثيرين في ولايتنا: النزوح، والعودة، والعمل الدؤوب لإعادة بناء الأسرة والحي والمجتمع بعد الحرب.She has worked in business, in community organising, and in service to women and youth across the thirteen counties. That experience taught her that Upper Nile does not lack talent or determination — it lacks a government that works with its people instead of against them.

لأن أعالي النيل تستطيع أن تعمل أفضل.I am running because our people pay too much for systems that do not deliver. Mothers pay more because water is broken. Traders pay more because order is missing. Children pay more because schools are empty of teachers. This is not normal — and it is not acceptable.
